The Hotel Beau Rivage is considered to be the most “arty” hotel establishment in the city of Nice. Since its creation in 1860, it has seen a succession of the most famous artists and intellectuals such as Fitzgerald, Chekhov or Henri Matisse who stayed there for many months in 1917. It was while admiring the luminous view from his room that Matisse decided to settle permanently in Nice.

Access

By car from Nice Airport take the N98 towards “Promenade des Anglais” towards “Nice Centre-Ville” for 6km. After the Jardin Albert 1er, turn left towards Place Masséna. Then turn right on rue Saint-François de Paule until n°24 where the Hotel Beau Rivage is located.

 

By train Stop Nice Centre-Ville – go down avenue Jean Médecin to Place Masséna. After the statue of Apollo, continue on rue Desboutin. Hotel Beau Rivage is located at the intersection with rue Saint-François de Paule.
